Dostie Headed to NCAA Division III National Championships
GORHAM, Maine -- University of Southern Maine senior Peyton Dostie (Standish, Maine/Bonny Eagle) is among the 22 entries for the women's 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships that begins Thursday at St. Lawrence University on Canton, N.Y. The complete field for the championships was released Sunday morning.
Dostie is the second seed in the 400 hurdles with her career-best time of 1:00.96 run last Friday at the ECAC Division III Championships. An All-American in the indoor pentathlon this past winter, this will be Dostie's second trip to the outdoor national championships.
During the 2015 outdoor campaign, Dostie won Little East Conference titles in the 100 and 400-meter hurdles, and the high jump, the New England Alliance 100 and 400-meter hurdles, and the ECAC 400-meter crown. She also earned Division III All-New England and NEICAAA All-New England honors in the 400 hurdles.
The preliminary round of races for the 400 hurdles will be held Thursday (May 21) afternoon at 4:20 p.m. The final will be run on Saturday.
