DELAWARE, Ohio -- University of Southern Maine sophomore Molly Carl (York, Maine) competed in the 1500 meters Thursday at the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Selby Field and George Gauthier Track on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.
Running in the first heat of the 1500-meter trials, Carl crossed the line in 4 minutes, 44.11 seconds. Overall, she had the 19th quickest time. The top five finishers in each heat, along with the next two best times, advance to Saturday's final.
The women's pole vault, including USM junior Bethany Dumas (Augusta, Maine/Cony), was moved from Thursday's schedule to Friday morning starting at 11:00 a.m.
