GORHAM, Maine -- For the sixth time this spring, University of Southern Maine sophomore Molly Carl (York, Maine) has been named the Little East Conference women's outdoor track and field Rookie Track Athlete of the Week. The conference office made the announcement Monday afternoon.
Competing at the ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) Division III Championships held at Moravian College (Bethlehem, Penn.), Carl lowered her school record (and NCAA provisional qualifying) time in the 1500 meters, crossing the finish line in ninth place with a time of 4 minutes, 36.35 seconds.
