FRAMINGHAM, Mass.  – Seniors Isabella Desouza (Framingham, Mass.) and Marisa Parent (Revere, Mass.) each scored twice to lead the Framingham State University Rams to a 4-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference women's soccer game Saturday afternoon at Maple Street Field.

The win is the third consecutive for the Rams who improve to 3-1 overall.  Southern Maine drops its second straight to fall to 2-4.

Desouza scored both of her goals in the first half, while Parent followed with a pair of goals in the second stanza for the 4-0 final.  Desouza's first goal, the eventual game-winner, came just minutes into the contest as she blasted in an unassisted 25-yard strike to give the Rams a 1-0 lead in the third minute.  Desouza made it 2-0 in the 15th minute tapping in her sixth goal of the season following a long cross from freshman Molly Kelley (Medway, Mass.).

In the second half, Parent made it 3-0 in the 65th minute on an assist from junior Marissa Miele (Hudson, Mass.), before scoring the fourth and final goal of the match late in game.  Parent hit the right corner of the net in the 86th minute assisted by sophomore Oliva Buonopane's (Middleton, Mass./Masconomet Regional) cross.

Junior goalkeeper Sara Sullivan (Quincy, Mass.) made three saves to earn the shutout victory for the Rams.  Junior Marissa Temple (Grafton, Mass.) made 11 saves in the loss.

Southern Maine hosts Salem State in a non-conference game on Wednesday (4:00 p.m.) as party of Faculty Appreciation Day.  Framingham State travels to WPI on Tuesday (7:00 p.m.).
