A returning captain from the 2013 season, Pelletier played in all 20 of the Huskies' matches. A forward, Pelletier scored one goal and had two assist for four points. Her goal against the University of New England (10/15/13) marked the first of her collegiate career. A 2013 Little East Conference Fall All-Academic Team member, Pelletier has played in 36 games in two seasons with USM, starting in 34.
A four-year player, McKay enters her final season in the Huskies' midfield and returns for her second season as one of the team's captains. McKay played and started in all of the Huskies' matches a season ago and has played in 38 games during her career. During her junior season, McKay started all of the Huskies' contests.
A 2013 first team All-Little East Conference selection, Bordeau is in her third season with USM and second season as a captain. A strong presence in the back, Bordeau played and started in all 20 of the Huskies' games last season, recording her first USM goal against UMass Dartmouth (11/5/13) in the opening round of the Little East Conference tournament. Bordeau has 36 games to her credit in her USM career and has started 35.
The Huskies play their first six contests on the road before taking on Salem State Univeristy in a non-conference match for their home-opener on Wednesday, September 17 (4:00 p.m.). Picked to finish fifth in the 2014 Little East Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, USM travels to UMass Boston on Saturday, September 20 (1:00 p.m.) for its conference opener. Southern Maine hosts Plymouth State on Saturday, September 27 (1:00 p.m.) in an LEC match.
USM will be vying for one of six spots into the Little East Conference tournament. The top six teams in the final regular season conference standings will participate in the 2014 Little East Women's Soccer Championship, with the top two seeds earning first round byes and top seeds hosting throughout. The tournament is slated to begin on November 4, with the championship match scheduled for November 8. The winner of the 2014 Little East Conference Tournament Championship will receive the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
